Shocking Photo: Motorcycle Thief Involved In A Ghastly Accident While Running With Stolen Motorcycle

A thief was involved in an accident while trying to escape with the motorcycle he stole along Abu King Shuluwa road, Makurdi Benue state yesterday October 1st. According to Benue.com, the thief who disguised as a passenger, had flagged down a motorcycle rider and asked to be taken to Tse-Ayihe, a suburb on the outskirts of Makurdi. When they arrived at his destination, the thief forcefully snatched the motorcycle from the rider.

As he tried to run with the motorcycle, an alarm was raised and he was immediately pursued by other motorcycle riders in the area. As the thief was running on top speed, he crashed into speed bumps and was badly injured. His pursuers had no sympathy for him as they gathered and beat him to a pulp. He was later taken to the police station.

Corruption Must Be Kicked Out Of Nigeria – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on all Nigerians to work towards kicking out corruption in the country. He made the call while speaking with journalist at his home in Abeokuta, Ogun state to mark Nigeria’s 55th independence celebration yesterday October1st. According to him;

“Corruption must not have resting place within our society. We must kick corruption out because it destroys almost everything and I am not talking about corruption of money.
Corruption of attitude, nepotism, favouritism, they are corruption in different forms and all aspects of corruption must be kicked out of our society”he said He said at 55, Nigeria had not done badly as a country “.Fifty-five years in the life of a nation is comparatively young, growing and when you look at the life and history of those that you may call settled societies or reasonably mature countries, we are not doing too badly. They have had missteps just like we are having missteps; they have made mistakes and most of them have learnt from their mistakes” he said.

Kenyan Woman Kills All Her Children With Rat Poison After A Disagreement With Her Husband

Winnie Daraja is locked up at the Webuye Police Station in Kenya, after she killed her children following an argument with her husband. On Tuesday, September 29, the 23-year-old mother of two from Shibanga, Kakamega North, laced queen cakes with rat poison and fed five year old Peris and three-year-old, Tairus, before taking some herself.

Neighbours said that they found the two children writhing in pain on the floor and rushed them to Webuye District Hospital where they died.

Winnie is also receiving treatment at the same hospital after she was rescued by police from an angry mob that wanted to lynch her.

Bungoma East OCPD, Isaack Odumbe, warned residents against mob justice and said that Daraja will be arraigned in court as soon as she recovers.

A relative said Daraja did not reveal the details when asked about the frequent fights with her husband.

“She said she had disagreed with her husband. She had threatened to kill herself and her family. Little did we know she meant what she was saying,” Mary Daraja said.

Daraja’s mother-in-law, who described her as “a humble and cool lady”, said she was surprised as they had lived together peacefully for the last five years.

“I call upon women living with their grandchildren to be cautious because some of these girls come from strange families and clans,” she said. “If you do not understand them, they can kill everyone in the family,” she further cautioned and asked police to ensure justice.

I guess I can mention names now as some newspapers have carried the story.. Lol. Nigeria's former minister of Petroluem Diezani Alison- Madueke, was arrested in London today alongside four other people by the UK National Crime Agency on behalf of the Nigerian government.

She and the others were arrested for offences related to bribery and corruption being investigated by the UK National Crime Agency. More on this later...
