An Israeli magician stuns shoppers in Tel Aviv by appearing to float above a street, with just his hand touching the wall. Puzzled onlookers tried to work out how Hezi Dean was managing to levitate for five hours on Sunday. After he was lowered by a small crane he said he was glad to be driving home in a car and not an ambulance. Watch the video after the cut...

2015 elections: Obasanjo warns against military take-over


Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned against a military takeover following any issues that might arise from the 2015 general elections. Chief Obasanjo gave the warning today while receiving APC South West women led by Mrs Aisha Buhari.

"I do hope we will get things more right. A lot of rumors are flying around, I think we have gone away from the rumor of Interim Government because that is not in our constitution. I hope we will soon go away from the rumour of handing over to the military because the military is not meant to run affairs of a nation in terms of running government.” he said

Man robbed and his car vandalized by political thugs at Stadium


There was a lot of commotion in the Palm Grove area of Lagos this afternoon. There was fighting and shooting between political factions - just don't know if there was any casualty. Anyway, the man who shared this photo on twitter said his car was not only vandalized but he was also robbed by hoodlums in a party entourage near National Stadium, Surulere, in broad daylight today.

Over 400 women, children reportedly kidnapped in Damasak by Boko Haram


10 days after the Defence Headquarters announced the recapture of Damasak town in Borno state from Boko Haram, members of the sect group is reported to have struck the town again, this time kidnapping over 400 women and children.



According to a resident of the town, Souleymane Ali, who spoke with Reuters, the sect members killed about 50 people before abducting the women and children during the recent attack.



“They took 506 young women and children (in Damasak). They killed about 50 of them before leaving. We don’t know if they killed others after leaving, but they took the rest with them.”he said

The Defence Headquarters has not made any official confirming or denouncin the report.

Imagine this! Chinese restaurant in Kenya turns back blacks after 5pm


Africans being racially profiled on African soil. Apparently there's a Chinese Restaurant in Nairobi Kenya that turns back black people once its 5pm, saying they dont trust blacks once it's dark. But other nationalities can simply walk in and exceptions are made if an African is accompanied by someone of another nationality. Kenyans are outraged by this. You can read the story here.
