Man Publicly Executed In Yemen For Raping, Murdering 3-Year-Old Girl

A man convicted of raping and murdering a three-year-old girl was executed in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Monday in front of hundreds of onlookers, witnesses said.

A policeman fired five bullets from an assault rifle into Muhammad al-Maghrabi, 41, as he lay with his hands handcuffed behind his back on a blanket on the ground in Sanaa’s Tahrir Square, after a judge read out the death sentence. .

The execution drew an unusually large number of onlookers, some perched up telegraph poles and many watching from rooftops, because of the young age of the victim. Security was tight amid fears of a revenge attack on Mr. Maghrabi by armed tribesmen related to his victim. .

The police truck transporting Mr. Maghrabi to the square was escorted by five police patrol vehicles. Yahya al-Matari, the father of the girl, told reporters after the execution that he felt as if he had been reborn. “This is the first day in my life,” he said. “I am relieved now.”

“We Will Take The Battle To Them, I Am Taking The Biafran Agitation To Lagos And Kaduna” – Nnamdi Kanu Declares

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said that he will be visiting Kaduna state as part of his current tour of various states in the country.

Kanu, who spoke on Sunday to various IPOB members, who thronged his Umuahia country home also confirmed that he will be in Lagos very soon.

He said that he does things that people think are impossible to do, and that he would ensure that Ohanaeze Ndigbo ceased to exist on the 19th of November 2017.

Kanu said: “Some media houses in Lagos don’t understand how powerful IPOB is. They sit down and write rubbish.

“So, I will go to Lagos to rattle them. I understand some people are worried.

“Don’t Yoruba Pastors come here? Don’t they come here to pray? Some of you worship at Yoruba churches and contribute your money there. Is that not so?

“That is why they don’t want you to be free. We want you to be free; because if you are free, you won’t contribute money for them.

“If you are free, how can they send their children abroad?

“Come the 19th of November, Ohanaeze Ndigbo will cease to exist. They drove themselves away. I am not in competition with anybody.

“My father is a traditional title holder. So, I am not going to disrespect anybody. I formed, by myself, the Council of Elders of the People of Biafra.

“The thing that are impossible to do, that is what I want to do. That is who I am. The thing that will happen in 20 years to come, let it happen now.

“We don’t fear our enemies. That is why I will go to Lagos to preach this gospel. I will do it.

“My friend, Comrade John Danfulani came to see me here and he invited me to Kaduna. I will also go to Kaduna”.

Photos: Father Burns 13-yr-old Son With Iron, Ties Him To Window For 3 days Accuses Him Of Been A Witch

A father of five, Austin Segun, who tied his 13-year-old son to a burglar-proof for three days because a Church leader said the boy was a wizard, has been given an ultimatum to leave Eruemukohwarien community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Mr. Segun was said to have been released on bail after he was arrested and detained at the Ughelli ‘A’ Division Police Station over the incident. The victim, Tobi Segun, who just finished his Primary 6 School Leaving Certificate exams, was rescued by a group of vigilante, who heard him whimpering at about 2a.m.

 Rescued

One of the vigilante members, who rescued the victim, told Vanguard that during their routine night patrol, they heard the faint cry of the boy saying he wants to die and that he can no longer bear the torture. The vigilante member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said:

“Immediately, we alerted the community Youth Chairman and others. When we gained access into the house, we saw the boy alone, tied to the window protector while his hands were tied behind him.

“Though the parents were not at home, the landlord called the father on phone while the community Youth Chairman alerted the DPO of the Ughelli ‘A’ Division, who personally came and arrested the suspect.”

Why we tied himStep-mother

Confirming the incident to Vanguard, the victim’s step-mother, Mrs. Edijala Favour Segun, said:

“They told us that he is a wizard at a Church we went to for prayers and he also admitted that he is a wizard.

“At a point, my husband had to use a hot iron to burn his palm and feet owing to his misbehaviour. Despite this, he opened the fridge in the house and ate everything.

“This led to my husband tying his hands and legs to the protector. He had just been tied for three days before we were arrested.

“On that day, our landlord called us on the phone that we should come back to the house. On getting home, we were faced with a crowd that started hitting my husband and me.

“After some minutes, the Police came and arrested my husband, while I was asked to take Tobi to the Ughelli Central Hospital for treatment.

“My husband was able to secure his release, but the IPO in charge of the case ordered that we should move out of the community.

This was documented and we all agreed to it including leaders of the community.”

Recounting his ordeal to Vanguard, Tobi said:

“I always run from the house because I am not comfortable. My mother is dead and the woman here is my step-mother.”

28-year-old Gets Healed After Sighting Nnamdi Kanu In Imo State

Nnamdi Kanu’s visit to Imo State yesterday was a blessing to some people, while to some Imolites it caused them unexpected difficulties.

Some Imolites who were interviewed by a Vanguard correspondent, said they had to take the decision of spending the rest of the day celebrating the visit of Nnamdi Kanu, while some motorists said that it was not a savoury experience for them as they were trapped in a hold up for more than eight hours.

Also the street hawkers said that they had never experience the kind of patronage they had during the visit of IPOB leader.

Even those selling Biafra insignias, asked Kanu to come for second missionary journey and that his coming brought blessings and food on their table. Also 28-year-old Chima Mbata from Nkwerre Local Government Area, Imo state, said he got healed of his two days headache after sighting Kanu from the crowd.

Iheme said: “I was in the House and my mother called me to come out and see Nnamdi Kanu, at Orlu road roundabout, I told her that I can’t come because I was not feeling fine.

“But she insisted, then I managed to come out immediately I saw Kanu, I was healed. I become stronger and joined other young men in the struggle.”

Also, speaking to Vanguard, a sachet water seller, who preferred the name, Juliana Ugo, from Ebonyi state, said:

“I made up to 11, 500, I have never realised this type of money before as a pure water seller, to the extent that there was no where you can get pure water. Some of us who still have it in their stock started selling it for N20 each while some sold a sachet for N30.”
