This MUST be unlawful. Surely. I’m sure there are grounds for prosecution here for violation of numerous environmental laws @estherclimate

This is a slap on democracy, a slap on the people who came out to vote,a slap on those who voted her,a slap on human conscience

It doesn’t take much funds to make it a floating water-cistern toilet, piped into a septic tank and soak away on the hard ground. Shame πŸ˜•

A lady has taken to Twitter to call out Bayelsa State House of Assembly for building bad toilets for their constituents, but it seems that the women of Okori Ama and Oweidei Ama all in Amassoma, Southern Ijaw Constituency are happy about it as they were pictured dancing and rejoicing after Hon. Governor Rochas Okorocha Makes 305 Imo Youths Millionaires

Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has empowered 305 youths from the 305 wards across the 27 local government areas of the state with the sum of One Million Naira (N1 million) each, instantly transforming them into millionaires.

“I declare myself the grand patron of all the Youth Millionaires”, Governor Okorocha declared during a brief cheque-hand-over ceremony at the government house in Owerri on Thursday, July 13.
According to him, the ‘One Million Naira’ largesse was to encourage the youths to succeed and begin to contribute to the progress and prosperity of the state and the country. He assured the beneficiaries of his assistance towards making sure that they prosper in their business endeavors.

“Henceforth if you encounter problems in running your various businesses you should feel free to consult me by channeling your difficulties through the Chief of Staff. My dream is to make sure that in the next one year your story will change for better”, he told the elated youth millionaires.
Okorocha, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, disclosed that the gesture was in line with his dream to reduce the poverty rate in the state to 5percent from the current 14percent.

The governor gave a brief outline of his administration’s efforts to uplift the poor in the state:

“We have employed ten young graduates from each of the 305 wards totaling 3050. We have empowered ten women in each of the wards with N100,000 also totaling N305million.

See Jaw Dropping Photos From The Aftermath Of The Heavy Rainfall Today

After the heavy downpour last night, this is what Akobi street in Surulere currently looks like. Refuse that have been dumped in canals and other undesignated areas have found their way to the street. Hope the Lagos state government acts fast to prevent an epidemic. Guess the floods have changed base. See more photos after the cut

Feed your eyes!

Here’s how Lagos-Abeokuta expressway Sango Otta looks like after a heavy down pour today, Saturday! The road was flooded!

See some Reactions on twitter below;

Some people just open their mouth and talk anyhow without facts/basis. This so called anonymous fellow does not even know the street or how clean the street usually is on a good day. Residents pay and use Lawma weekly. (The trash you are seeing is from different parts of Lagos mainland; not dirt from street users or residents of that street. Common sense! ) This is simply an overflow of the canal a few meters away cutting off on that street. If the mainland canals were adiquately cleaned and cleared by the government with Tax payers money, this would not happen.

Blood of Jesus! This could make children sick!!

U see, when u leave like pigs u pay the price. Will government do this for u people again? See ur unkept environment. Mother Nature is paying u people in ur own coin. Enjoy it. When the season is over u will not wait for the government to declare environmental sanitation.
