A man identified as Babangida Garba has been arrested in the Ungwar Mata, Funtua Local Government of Katsina state after his pregnant wife caught him having sex with a goat belonging to their neighbor.
The shocked wife quickly raised an alarm, attracting residents.
Garuba, a Goldsmith, was eventually handed over to the police and he allegedly confessed to the action, claiming it’s because his wife starves him of sex.
He was paraded on Thursday alongside other criminals at the headquarters of Katsina State police command by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Abdullahi. Speaking to journalists, he said it was the second time he was sleeping with the goat.
Garuba is yet to be charged to court but the state Police Commissioner, Aliyu Abdullahi, while confirming the incident, said that Garuba would soon appear in court.
50-year-old Italian kidnapper, Blessing Fernando, who reportedly abducted a victim in Delta State, was arrested at Ogbe-Isoko community where he went to collect an additional ransom of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives, having collected N250,000 initially.
The suspect who stays at Evowe Quarters of Ozoro in Isoko North LGA., was paraded alongside 22 suspected kidnappers and three armed at the command headquarters in Asaba yesterday. According to the state Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, the kidnapping syndicate had terrorised Ozoro and its environs for years.
“He was arrested at a scene where he came to collect ransom of additional sum of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives having robbed the victim the sum of N250,000. Effort to arrest other fleeing gang members is on course as case will be charged to court soon,” the commissioner said.
According to NewTelegraph, upon interrogation, the suspect, who confessed to be a member of the kidnapping syndicate, said he was co-opted under duress after he was duped of N600,000.
He said:
“They forced me to become their member, if I must get back my money.
My desperation to recover my money from them has landed me in this mess. They told me to go and wait at the scene where I was arrested for somebody who will bring some money from which they will offset what they had defrauded me.”
Fernando said his mother hailed from Isoko ethnic group in Delta State while his father was an Italian.
Advising Nigerian women to stop making cheating an issue, Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan has taken to Instagram to tell women that cheating doesn’t make your male partner a bad person, but only validates him as a man.
According to the actress, women should look beyond the flaw of cheating, and focus on the way their men treat them. Here’s what she wrote;
“Leaving a man because he cheats is like relocating from Nigeria to America because of rain. News flash: it rains everywhere. Find a good man who loves you and appreciates you. Every other thing can be worked on. Men are naturally born to cheat. Look beyond this flaw and focus on how he treats you.”
She went further to write;
“Good morning guys. I read many comments from my last post and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s funny that it’s women who are answering for their men that the men don’t cheat on them. My sisters, let the men answer for themselves. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow.

Prophet Talent Madungwe, a Zimbabwean man of God, has shocked his compatriots with the claim that he is God’s special adviser and meets with the almighty on a regular basis to make decisions on how the world should be governed. .
According to iHarare, the controversial prophet also told his congregation that he is God’s number four after Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit because he is the most righteous person in his country where only 60 people will go to heaven. .
The self-proclaimed God’s advisor also claimed that even Angel Michael and Angel Gabriel come after him on the righteousness scale as he and God are the best of friends. .
Prophet Madungwe was quoted as telling his members that he was with God recently where they had a very long discussion on what will happen to the world and when asked to show a proof of the meeting by way of photographs, he was said to have replied that it was not possible to have pictures with God. .
“You can’t have pictures of God, the cameras will not function. He came to me in physical form on April 30, 2017. Only 60 people are righteous in this country and among those, only a few of the popular prophets are among the list. .
I cannot reveal the names I came fourth because I performed better than the others. Performance is judged monthly. In April, I saw God and he ordained me to be his advisor; He told me when the world will come to an end. .
God told me that if all people repent, the world will come to an end in 300 years but if not, then it will be 100 years. I will have a meeting with Him and tell him if people are repenting because he has put me in charge of advising Him on matters concerning the world. This will be in five years.”
Madungwe who claims to have had meetings with God over 20 times this year alone, also described Heaven look like, adding that the earth is the photocopy of heaven with the only difference being that heaven is built with gold
A Rivers state NYSC member, Ugwoke Peace Udoka has helped a little boy she saw hawking vegetables on the streets of Port Harcourt secure a scholarship.
According to her, she saw him hawking, took a picture with him and someone who saw the photo on social media reached out to help him. She wrote;
“You never know how far one thing could lead to another.
Few weeks ago, I saw him hawking vegetables on the streets of Port Harcourt, apparently, he does that to assist his single mother.
He ran to me immediately and thanked me for visiting his school the previous week to speak with them and for giving them free writing materials, including mathematical sets.
We took a picture which caught social media attention and today, he’s got a scholarship support from someone who has never met him but only seen his hawking pictures.
This boy has given me the vibe to keep going. He inspires me everyday. God bless my service year.
