Reno Omokri has just seconded Nigerian minister of informations statement that Senegals Jollof is the best, he posted these photos with the below caption;

The producer of my TV show, Geo Helene Sow, is from Senegal. She made the original Jollof Rice (THIEBOU Dieun) for me. Yes, Jollof actually originated from Senegal, not Nigeria! Jollof is actually named after a place in Senegal. They break their rice before cooking it and it is criminally delicious!!! Lie Mohammed did not Lai (or is it the other way round?) Guess what else also originated from Senegal? Zobo originates there too!

“Staring At Women’s Bums Inspires Me” – Timaya

Singer Alfred Inetimi Odon, aka Timaya, has in a chat with Sunday Scoop, revealed how he gets his inspiration sometimes.

According to the singer who has achieved a lot in the music industry from his days as a Port Harcourt-born youth hungry for fame and fortune, starring at women’s bums inspires him and he is unapologetic about that.

“I love the human backside because it is very beautiful and just by staring at it, I get ideas for songs. And that is how songs like Ukwu and Shake Your Bum, came about.

However, I also sing about many other things so it is balanced. A lot of people are hypocritical because songs about bums usually have the highest downloads but people
would come out to criticise them. So who is downloading them?

I have learnt that you can never please everybody and I don’t waste my time trying to do that. I stay true to myself, and if you’re cool with it, it’s okay. And if you’re not down with it, that’s also okay. Life goes on,” he said.

Revealing a side of him that is rarely seen, Timaya spoke affectionately about his daughters. He said:

“I did not know I could love anyone the way I love my children. I have a very wonderful relationship with my daughters and I relate with them a lot so they also see me as a friend.”

“If Anything Happens To Buhari, North Will Insist On Two Terms In 2019” – Northern Activist Junaid Mohammed

Dr. Junaid Mohammed, a member of the House of Representatives during the second republic, has said if Osinbanjo takes over from president Buhari, he can not run for president and power has to revert back to the north.

In a chat with PUNCH when asked about his opinion on Asiwaju Bola Tinubu recent statement saying Nigerians should not politicise Buhari’s health,he said: They are far from being sincere. Both of them are playing politics and they are blaming other people of playing politics. .

Clearly, (Bola) Tinubu had the ambition to be vice president of Nigeria. He is blaming certain people for denying him the opportunity of becoming the vice president and eventually the president. .

Clearly, (Bisi) Akande was being alarmist when he said some people are creating confusion. He should tell us who are those people creating confusion? I believe he and Tinubu are the people throwing stones and blaming other people for not being patriotic. .

They imagine that they can win sympathy so that when the time comes for a transition, it will be easy for them and they can justify the eventuality of Buhari’s inability to continue. .

So that they can manipulate their way to take over completely in 2019; one thing I know is that, if Vice President (Yemi) Osinbajo becomes the president from whatever date to 2019, he cannot contest that position again. .

This was the understanding that was reached with Jonathan Goodluck (with the PDP) and he reneged on it and nearly threw the country into a civil war. This time around, those who sign agreements with whomever, must make such public. .

They should also state the time when this agreement will come into force. We cannot now avoid the constitution. If there is the need to follow the constitution we must follow the letter and spirit of the constitution – that is up till 2019. .

Beyond that, power should come back to where Buhari comes from and remain there for a solid eight to 10 years – unless in running for a second term the person loses re-election. There is nothing one can do about that.”

Photos: Comedian I Go Dye Builds Multi Million Dollar Mansion For His Mother

Popular Comedian, I Go Dye, born Francis Agoda has just built a multi-million naira mansionfor this mother. This of course is every child’s dream for their parents.

Though the location of the house is still not known as at press time but its picture, through a very reliable source, has been made available to Weekend Groove. And it is certainly a beauty to behold.

The house, which seems to stand on its own ground, with all modern finishing, is a palatial edifice, painted in all-white with stripes of gold to give off a picture of sheer splendour.

No doubt, the building must have put a huge dent in the comedian’s bank account, but it has been his life-long dream to do something special for his mum. I Go dye who celebrated his 20 years in the industry recently has a story of ‘grass to grace’ to tell.

“Well, growing up wasn’t rosy at all, some said they had silver spoon but for me, there was no spoon at all, it was just creating means for myself to fend for myself,” he once said in an interview with Vanguard. “All my early days were spent in the village with my grandmother, who nurtured me with so much traditional values that later amused my peers when I got back to primary school in Warri.

There was so much difficulty for my age mates to comprehend my ideas and values of life. It was seen most times that I was saying things that were not achievable because they felt I knew more than my age.

I had difficulty also conforming to their standard and it took me sometime to study their moral upbringing, which had so much difference from the way life was in the village and living with an old woman. More so, the challenges of life are so much, it took me strong personal conviction to stand firmly on my belief and dreams”.

Reminiscing on this picture, takes me way back to a journey, that saw me living with my mother in one room. the curtains that was behind me,was a piece of cloth that my grand mum gave to us to cover the entrance of our door.

it was so bad then, all that kept me going was the creative gift of innovating things like Solar fan, Radio transmitter, fly Helicopter, Hover craft ship .this gave me a smile each time I got compliments.

Then I always told my mother that one day I will take them out from that position, even when I made that possible years back,I still felt a debt within me.

honestly then I had told my self, I will build a GOLDEN EYES mansion for my mother lol .Am just a few privileged to see some of their dreams come true and I have to inspire many others that life often saves the best, only for is to wait and strive a little more.

I am just using this medium to appeal to our parents to support their children in all capacity, if there is a skill or talent that we discover in them.

Honestly, everyone cannot be a doctor,or lawyer, but we all have special gifts that can set us apart from each other and become successful.

This picture was yesterday hope, a dreamed fulfilled today for my #queenmum and a gift from God to help you believe in the future. Am not better than any one, just that yesterday’s dream is kept alive by all of you that gave me your support and prayers.may God bless you all for making this possible for my mum.your own go pass this one in Jesus amen

Popular Saudi Arabian Muslim Cleric Urges FIFA To Ban Christian Players from Making Christian Signs On The Pitch

Mohammed Alarefe, a Saudi Muslim cleric and professor of religion at King Saud Universityin Riyadh has urged world football’s governing body, FIFA to ban Christian players from making the sign of the cross and other Christian signs after scoring.

He posted the controversial call on Twitter to his 17.4million followers, but he was quickly flooded with messages disagreeing with him.

A number of people pointed out to the Muslim scholar that a huge amount of players kneel on the ground and kiss the floor in celebration of a goal, mimicking the Islamic prayer.

Alarefe wrote:

‘I’ve seen video clips of athletes, soccer players running, shooting and when they win they make the symbol of the cross on their chests and my question is if FIFA’s rules forbid this.’

Twitter users from all religious backgrounds were quick to shut him down pointing out that the act was an expression of joy and even Muslim players bow to the ground after scoring.

The issue of religion and football is a touchy issue in Muslim majority countries especially in the middle east.  Recently, Real Madrid revealed they will not feature the traditional Christian cross on clothing sold in some Middle East countries under a new regional deal.
