Photos: 91 Year Old Queen Elizabeth Spotted Driving Herself Home In Her Car

Following the retirement of her husband last week, the Queen showed today she wasn’t going to be taking a back seat.

The 91-year-old took to the wheel of her green Jaguar as she was spotted driving home from a Sunday morning service at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Park with a security guard, wearing a blue suit and matching hat.

The Queen has a well-documented love of cars and driving, and is regularly spotted behind the wheel on her Sandringham estate and often drives to the church near the Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate.

While she is always chauffeured during royal occasions, the Queen is in fact a capable driver, having learnt to drive while serving as a mechanic in the Women’ s Auxillary Territorial Service during the Second World War.

Over the years she has been photographed on numerous occasions taking to the lanes of her Sandringham estate in a trusted Range Rover.

The monarch is the only person in the UK who is permitted to drive without a licence and is the only person allowed to drive down the 2.6-mile Long Walk in Windsor apart from park rangers.

Last year, the Queen played chauffeur to her granddaughter-in-law Kate in Balmoral, driving the Duchess of Cambridge to a picnic lunch with Prince William.

School Bus Crash kills 36 Students In Tanzania

A school bus full of students swerved off a steep road in Tanzania on Saturday morning and fell into a ravine, killing 36 people — 33 of them children, authorities said.

The fatal crash happened in city of Arusha in Tanzania’s northern Karatu District, on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

“The place where it happened is a hill, with a steep slope, and it was raining when the accident happened,” Aruba Police Commander Charles Mkumbo said.

Mkumbo added investigators were still trying to determine exactly what caused the bus to leave the road.

 “We don’t know if the driver was new or if there was a mechanical defect,” he said.

CNN reported that the bus driver and two teachers on board, were also killed in the crash. Two of the students survived but were critically injured.The primary school students, aged between 12 and 13 years old, were on their way to another school to take an exam.
Tanzanian President John Magufuli expressed “great shock and sadness” over the crash.

“The accident has cut short the dreams of students who were preparing to serve the nation,” Magufuli said.

President Buhari On His Way To London For Urgent Medical Check-Up Tonight

Buhari is reportedly on his way tonight to London for medical follow-up. This is coming after foreign doctors were flown into the country, to take care of the sick Nigerian President. It was also gathered that his length of stay will be determined by U.K doctors, as he has already handed over to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

According to his media aide, Femi Adesina, President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to
London tonight for follow-up medical consultation with his doctors. He had planned to leave Sunday afternoon, but decided to tarry a bit, due to the arrival of 82 Chibok girls who arrived Abuja earlier in the day.
