Meet Okoro izuchukwu gospel, the eventual winner of the laptop i had previously donated to be given to the best graduating ss3 student of GSSS Elekahia. He hails from Imo state Nigeria and aspires to become a lawyer. He was moved to tears as he never expected such prize for his diligence and hardwork. In a society where talentless people are celebrated, profanity is rewarded, nudity lauded, in a society where the winner of a math olympiad gets a mathset and some notebooks while a teenager skilled in the act of “Azontry” and “shokitude” gets a car as a reward, This gesture of mine was aimed at recognizing and giving honour to whom it is actually due… The hardworking ones with a zeal for academic excellence

President, adult and mass literacy cds group phalga, Rivers state. As president of the above stated group , I’ve bin able to foster unity amongst my members, as this is paramount to achieving any set goals as a group. As a group we have been able to carry out senstization in two different schools, css Nkpogu and gsss Elekahia, were issues including but not limited to achieving academic excellence, and making wise career choices were talked about, as a group we have been able to set the ball rolling for the printing of over 1000 adult and mass literacy cds branded note books to be dished out to select schools, this books wld be dished out along side textbooks donated by cds members.
As number 1 member of my cds group i have also strived to be a good ambassador, by carrying out the following individual projects: *Donations of 60 plastic chairs to gsss Elekahia(my ppa) and css nkpogu *Donation of a 4gig, 1terabyte laptop to gsss elekahia to be given to the overall best ss3 student! *offered to pay for waec fees for two hardworking but relatively less priviledged students from the above stated school!
Its about a month to passing out from service and not a day wld pass without i and my cds members seeking ways to change lives in rivers state! #riverscorpers

Nollywood Actor, And Film Maker  Uche Nnanna Maduka campaingns for the release of Kemi Olunloyo;

Fellow Nigerians and Christians. I have been so worried since yesterday after reading that a Federal High Court in Rivers State remanded Kemi Oluloyo again in prison. Please if I may ask? What is her offense, please? Who did she offend? God or man of God? And I ask again why is everybody keeping quiet over this. I may not be her fan; neither do I have anything against her. Do I assume everybody is keeping quiet because it is not a Nigerian Authority nor one powerful politician who go her arrested, else hell would have been let loose with everyone calling for her release.

So why is this case different? For crying out loud why will a man of god arrest a journalist because she wrote something about him? What happens to practicing what we preach.
As Christians we are the followers of Christ and so why can’t we live a Christ-like life? We say our Lord’s prayer everyday “Father forgive us our sins as we forgive those who trespassed against us”. Please this man of God that arrested Kemi, what did Christ do to the Jews that crucified him on the cross of Calvary? This is the Lenten season as we all know. He said “Father forgive them for they do not know what they do. Now, this apart let’s reflect back on the case of Late Pope Johnpaul the 11, sure we all can remember. What did he do to the man that shot him? When the authorities brought the man before him, he pleaded with them to him go. He even went as far as visiting him in the prison and also prayed for him.
This is what my faith as a Catholic taught me to imbibe, “forgiveness” The bible made it clear that all have sinned and come short go the glory of God.
So please let all Christians stand up and say no to this. I am expecting bash from this because it may be misconstrued in some quarters that Uchenna Nnanna Maduka is seeking for 5 minutes’ fame. So be it, I have spoken my mind because I have been hurting since yesterday.Let us be like Christ who we represent here on earth.

Just when you think we’re moving forward in life, you get a shocker that makes you start all over again. According to a Twitter user, @Ty_Fregz, the Best student of Pediatrics from University of Port -Harcourt  allegedly received her prize money of N250, two years after graduation yesterday.

Ty_Fregz who is also a Doctor, disclosed that the prize money came from
the Pediatrics Association of Nigeria.
