Photos: Bride Shaves Her Head At Wedding To Support Her Terminally Ill Groom (Must See)

In a loving tribute to her terminally ill groom, a bride decided to shave her head at her very own wedding reception in Liverpool.

Craig and Joan Lyons have known each other for over thirty years, but unknown to Joan, Craig had always been in love with her. “I fell in love with her as soon as I set my eyes on her when we were 14,” Craig told the Daily Mail.

18 months ago he decided to tell her how he really felt and the couple have just got married. They had planned to marry later in the year but they decided to bring the date forward when Craig’s pancreatic cancer became terminal. In a beautiful act of solidarity, Joan decided to cut off her hair after she walked down the aisle with her new husband.

“It was obviously the first time I had seen Joan without her hair and she looked beautiful, absolutely stunning,” he told the Daily Mail. “She is the woman of my dreams.”

Joan donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that creates wigs for children who’ve lost their hair during cancer treatment.

A student has raised £11,000 through crowdfunding after claiming her parents cut her off after discovering she had a black boyfriend.

Allie Dowdle, 18, says her dad Bill told her she was never allowed to see Michael Swift again after she showed her father a photo of her new fella.

“Hoping to share him with my family, I showed my parents his picture, and the conversation was over before it even began.

“My dad did not give me an option: he told me that I was not allowed to see Michael ever again.

“Why? Strictly because of skin color. It wasn’t a quiet ‘no’ either. I’ll never forget the yelling my parents did, when they expressed how disappointed they were in me, that I could do so much better.”

The teenager , from Memphis, Tennessee, said after the blazing row, she was blocked from using her personal savings and no longer had access to her car or phone, leaving her penniless and unable to continue her education

She wrote: “As I am 18, my parents have chosen to no longer support my future, stripping me of all my resources.”

Allie has already smashed her $10,000 target, with her running total at around $14,000 (approximately £11,470).

The 18-year-old’s dad has denied that the issue is about race.

Bill Dowdle insists he and his wife will accept any young man that their daughter choses to date, and only cut her off because she started dating Michael in secret.

But he admitted there were ‘issues’ involved with ‘bi-racial dating’ in the southern states of America.

This happened in Zimbabwe. Several congregants at Goodness and Mercy Ministries had to part with US$10 (bout N5000) each to buy what were termed anointed umbrellas.

The umbrellas, the church leader Prophet Freddy said, had divine powers to protect owners from lightning strikes and storms during this rainy season.

The umbrellas were also said to have the ability to protect congregants from evil spirits.

“God instructed me to pray for these umbrellas and there will be no member of this church who will buy the umbrella and get struck by lightning or will be tormented by demons.

“2017 is a year of overtaking and this year we shall overtake if you have faith, God will use these umbrellas to perform miracles, signs and wonders,” said prophet Freddy.

H-Metro reports there were loud cheers and ululations from the followers who then flocked to the altar to buy the umbrellas.

As congregants stampeded for the umbrellas, some got injured as they were trying to get hold of the first umbrella that the church leader Prophet Freddy had offered for free to his congregants.

One of the ladies who was part of the scuffle, said she was injured as she tried to get the umbrella.

“I was pushed by another woman who also wanted the umbrella and I dislocated my arm but I don’t regret what happened to me and I believe I will be healed since I was injured in the house of God.

“I was not doing something wrong to anyone so I know these injuries will come to pass,” she said.
