"My leader is a powerful herbalist. He knows when you have money on you" -Armed robbery suspect

One of the two-man robbery gang arrested by the operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command for allegedly robbing a 81 year old lady in her apartment, has confessed that his ringleader, an herbalist, now at large, masterminded the crime.
The suspect, Segun Taiwo, was apprehended after they had successfully dispossessed the 81-year old lady of her valuable at Oduduwa Street, Itire, Lagos.

The duo had collected $10,000, £5,000, an N100,000 and a box containing assorted jewelry from their victim at about 8:00 p.m over the weekend.

While confessing at the RRS’s Headquarters, Taiwo disclosed that he was only invited into the robbery by the herbalist, who promised to give him 50 percent from the loot.

While explaining how they got clue before carrying out the operation, he explained, "the mastermind is an herbalist. He was treating one of the woman's daughters (name withheld) who had sore in her right foot… Whenever the lady visited him for treatment, he was always stylishly collecting information about her mother from her…. Unknowingly to the lady, he had collected all necessary descriptions and information needed to perpetuate the robbery…. After a while, he told me that we have a special operation. He further told me that his patient (the woman's daughter) must not be aware because we were going to their house to rob her mother."
The suspect also told investigator that, the herbalist knew exact time to strike the house, the description of the apartment, where the woman's money and other valuables were kept following the information gotten from her daughter.

According to him, "we carried out the robbery successfully. We gained entrance into the two-storey building and headed straight to the old woman’s flat…. From our preliminary investigation, we got to know that the first flat opposite the entrance gate was theirs. We went straight inside the flat without any stress…. We met the 81 year old woman while sitting on the prayer’s mat inside the living room.  We dragged and threatened her with cutlass and axe to surrender all her belongings including foreign currencies with her or else we will waste her life.”
The suspected robber explained that the old woman cooperated with them and handed over a bag filled with both Nigeria and foreign currencies.

"We also forcefully collected her gold jewelry box…. However, on our way out, we overheard the voice of the old woman who was crying and shouting for help…. Unknowingly to us, RRS operatives who were patrolling the area have overheard her voice. As we were rushing out to escape from the house, the operatives sighted us and we took to our heels…. Immediately, the policemen made a hot chase which led to my arrest and my accomplice managed to escape with the local and foreign currencies while the jewelry box was retrieved from me," the suspect revealed.

The suspect also disclosed that they had before now, robbed one innocent man along Okota Road of his Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000.00).
“My gang leader is a very powerful herbalist. He knows when you have money on you. The first day I followed him to rob was a day when we went to Okota Road. On getting there, he saw one man along Okota Road, and he pointed at the man and told me the man had money on him…. We moved closer to the man and he recited some incantations, and to my surprise, that man handed over his money, about Two Hundred Thousand Naira, to us. Out of that money, he gave me just Eleven Thousand Naira (N11, 000.00),” he added.
While confirming the arrest, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police, SP Dolapo Badmus, said that the command is making effort to arrest the gang leader, added that Police will leave no stone unturned to nip crimes at bud in the state. The suspect has been transferred to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation.

Fuel At ₦145/Liter No Longer Sustainable – NNPC

FUEL-SCARCITY

Former and present Group Managing Directors of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation have expressed fears that the current pump price of N145 per litre is no longer feasible.

They said the amount does not correspond with the price-determining components of the commodity and the fluctuations of the foreign exchange rate.

They stated this after a one-day meeting they held with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, in Abuja.

The NNPC in its statement said, “They (the GMDs) noted that the petrol price of N145/litre is not congruent with the liberalisation policy especially with the foreign exchange rate and other price determining components such as crude cost, Nigerian Ports Authority charges, etc remaining uncapped.”

The declaration of the NNPC present and past bosses confirmed an exclusive report by SUNDAY PUNCH on August 7, 2016, in which oil marketers revealed that the actual or real cost of petrol was N151.87 when all the pricing components are adequately captured.

The marketers had stated that they were struggling to maintain petrol price at N145 per litre because of the stiff competition in the downstream oil sector, but stressed that the practice was not sustainable.

The GMDs, however, commended the NNPC for resolving the fuel supply crisis and urged the corporation to come up with measures that will ensure sustenance of seamless supply of petroleum products nationwide.

According to the corporation, the GMDs expressed concerns about the declining crude oil production level and its consequences on the environment and the nation’s revenue.

They further agreed that if the current situation remains unchecked, it could lead to the crippling of the corporation and the nation’s oil and gas sector which is the mainstay of the Nigerian economy.

The Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, Afenifere, former federal lawmakers, security experts and rights activists, however, warned the President Muhammadu Buhari administration not to contemplate any further increase in the pump price of petroleum products in the country

The General Secretary of the NLC, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, who stated this in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH, said Nigerians would not accept further fuel price increment.

Ozo-Eson had warned the government earlier this week against increasing the pump price of petroleum products in the country.

He said, “We had given a warning before that Nigerians cannot take any further increase, that they shouldn’t do it.

“That remains our position, and if they go ahead and do it, it is up to Nigerians to say how they want to respond to it. But we remain opposed to any new increase in the price of petroleum product.”

Sources Are Now Saying Executed Nigerian ‘Millionaire’ Drug Dealer Was Innocent He Was Set Up In Indonesian By His Friend

Uneasy calm still pervades the sleepy community of Ezigbo village, Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, since the death of Felix Izuchukwu Ezimoha, who was executed alongside three other Nigerians for drug trafficking in Indonesia on July 28.

Following the display of Ezimoha’s burial pictures in his mansion at Ezigbo on social media, a lot of commentators have condemned the community for giving a ‘befitting’ burial to a man executed for drug trafficking.

A correspondent who visited the community reported that Ezimoha was born in 1981 and lived quietly in Orsumoghu till he went to Nnewi the industrial commercial hub of Anambra State to trade. A reliable source close to the family who wants to be identified simply as Mrs. Nwaokoroafor told Saturday Telegraph yesterday that the 35-year-old Ezimoha was a humble, quiet and a gift to the entire community and beyond, whose passion for the poor and the needy knew no bound.

“I don’t want to remember the death of Izuchkwu, We cannot recover from the shock in this village in the next five decades,” she said. “The father died so many years ago. The mother is not here and his only brother is an okada man. There is nobody in their place; they all left immediately after the burial.

“That is all I know. I don’t know whether he collapsed before he was killed but all I am saying is that the boy was a good boy and was generous to the community and other neighbouring communities. We cannot count the number of houses he built for widows and indigents in the town.

“All we are praying to God is for Him to revenge for us and Izuchukwu,” Nwaokoroafor said. Meanwhile, his new mansion and his father’s compound were under lock and key as at the time a correspondent visited the community. But when contacted the President General of the community, Ezefunamba Hyginus, also spoke about Ezimoha.

He said: “What I am telling was what I heard. I was not there in Indonesia. The fact was that the boy was trading at Nnewi before he left the shores of Nigeria in 2003. After a while, we didn’t hear about him. We later heard that he was apprehended by the Indonesia security operatives and was put in the prison.

“On enquiry, we were told that he was arrested and nothing was found on him and in his house after the security operatives conducted their search.

“We heard also that it was a conspiracy and the person who named him as a member of the drug cartel was from Anambra State, who was squatting in Izuchukwu’s house. They said they were tried and convicted but he insisted that he was not a drug born”.

He added: “While he was in prison, he got married to an Indonesia woman and wedded in prison. He also had three children while in prison, two boys and a girl.” Hyginus said it was through the help of his Indonesian wife that the community started getting hint about him again.

“We also learnt he continued appealing against the judgment of the lower court, who convicted him but because the witness who accused him had died, he was trapped in the prison custody until he was wasted.”

The president general said Ezimoha consistently told the Indonesia court that he knew nothing about drug business, but there was no witness to corroborate his claim.

“In fact it was painful that the Federal Government of Nigeria could not intervene despite the global attention the trial attracted. What his kinsmen were now asking was that if he was found guilty of drug trafficking as they claimed, why should they allow his corpse to be buried in Nigeria?”

“I’m Blessed With Big Bσσbs, I Can’t Date A Poor Man” – Nollywood Actress Says

bolaji1

Pound for pound, few women in Nollywood, or even the entire entertainment industry can hold their own when it comes to going head to head in boobs contest with Bolaji Ogunmola.

The up and coming hot actress is so endowed in the bosom, that the likes of Cossy wouldn’t want to be in the same room with her for fear of competition. But for the Next Movie Star class of 2013, having big bσσbs can’t compare to having bigger butt.

In a recent chat with Potpourri, the sexy, charismatic and unassuming ebony beauty bares her mind on some sensitive issues relating to sex, relationships and her career as an actress.

“I am left handed, I like light-skinned guys and very emotional,” she says, describing herself in simple terms.

“I can’t date a poor man and would have preferred having a bigger butt,” she added but declined to comment further on why she prefers bigger butt to her humongous, captivating boobs.

Bolaji has only been on her acting journey for four years but the horizon looks good for her.

“I have been acting for like four years now but people say you start counting from when you started making impact. So on that note, I became relevant from two years ago. My first film was when I was in the university, that is the University of Ilorin. After which I got enrolled at Royal Art Academy. I was part of some of their projects like Okon goes to school, Unbedded Niece and some other films,” she says, beaming with smiles.

Is There Anything Wrong With This Photo?: Nigerian Man Passionately Kissing His Daughter On The Lips

kiss-dota

A man who saw it pleasing to kiss his daughter with all seriousness (even closing his eyes in the process as a sign of ecstasy) was recently a topic of discussion online.

Some online users are saying this act is very bad and could lead to other things while others are arguing that it’s the intention of the man that matters.

Anyway, the main question now is, is it possible for a man to kiss his daughter almost the same way he kisses his wife without feeling anything?

Several commenters believe the man in question could graduate into having a romantic feeling for his daughter which is the foundation for several cases of sexual abuse across the world.
