“Rice Will Sell For ₦9k Before December” – APC Chieftain

A top Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), in Lagos State, Ganiyu Quadri, has reiterated that his party is doing everything possible to place the agro-business scheme run by the State government in Kebbi State on a high end, so that the cost of rice will drop to a mere N9,000 by December, from the present price of between N18,500 and N20,000.

Quadri, who is the Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Area in the state, made this bold declaration while receiving a delegation of Rotary Club of Akowonjo 9110, led by its District-Governor, Patrick Ikheloa, and President, Shola Abidakun, stressing that the APC administration in Lagos swung into agro-business to ensure food security for its people.

“By the end of this year, or first quarter next year, things will change in Lagos. Already, we are into agro-business in Kebbi State. We have massive land on which we planted grains, among which is rice, our people’s staple food. And it is expected that the truckloads of rice will storm Lagos soon.”

“So, I can assure you that before the end of this year, the price of a bag of rice, which is N18,000, will drop to N9,000.”

Yet Another Nigerian Man Arrested For Drug Trafficking In India (Photo)

News of Nigerian guys being apprehended because of drugs trafficking at the Asian part of the globe, most especially India, is increasing rapidly like wild fire as yet another Nigerian has been arrested.

This effect of the criminal acts is gradually gaining a worrying frequency that could affect the emigration of people to the country for medical tourism and educational purposes.

Just days after it was reported of a Nigerian man killed in Indonesia cause he was engaged in drug trafficking, another disturbing report of how a Nigerian was nabbed in a case of peddling of contraband substances has emerged by online news platform in India,India Today.

The Bengaluru police arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly indulging in drug peddling and recovered cocaine worth Rs 13 lakhs from him.

According to the police, Adinife Raphael (37) of Lagos in Nigeria came to India in 2010 and stayed in Mumbai. After spending two years in Mumbai and New Delhi, he settled down in Bengaluru in 2012. His visa and passport expired in 2015, but he continued to stay illegally in the country.

Later, he joined a group of drug peddlers, who procured the contraband material from suppliers in Goa. It is alleged that Adinife would supply cocaine to college students in east Bengaluru.

The police, who received a tip-off on the activities of Adinife, raided his home on Monday in the Bengaluru police station limits.

The police found out that Adinife had destroyed his passport. The police have registered a case against him under the Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

Pastor Adeboye’s Wife Takes Full Responsibility Of Quadruplets Born At Redemption Camp (Photos)

About two weeks ago, August 4th to be precise, a woman delivered a set of quadruplets, 3 boys and one girl, at the 64th Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God held at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

It was the first time in the history of the convention that a woman would give birth to quadruplets.

In celebration of their birth, wife of the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye has taken up full responsibility for the children. She has also provided a well-furnished two (2) bedroom flat in one of the estates on the Redemption Camp while plans are in place to secure a good job for the children’s father.

A total of 67 children were born same Thursday, 40 are boys while 27 are girls. Pastor Enoch Adeboye describe the birth as unique.

“For the first time in the history of our conventions and our maternity centre, a woman gave birth to four babies,” he said.
