Ghanaian man dresses in a suit to sell water melon on the streets

Pictured above is Daniel Nartey, a Ghanaian man who dresses in a suit to hawk water melon around Madina in Ghana's capital, Accra to eke a living. When asked why he dresses this way, Daniel said;
"My pastor always says dress well no matter the job you do, so I decided to wear a suit. Some laugh at me, others encourage me and are willing to help me"
Daniel says his dressing gives him an edge which helps him make 100 % profit after sales
"I make 100% profit. I think it is because of how I dress, people notice me easily and want to buy from me," Mr Nartey said.
The 25-year-old is a primary school teacher and sells watermelon during weekends and when the school is on vacation. He is saving up to buy an oven and wants to one day own his own snack bar.

Unlawful detention of two sisters

Just got this sad email from a LIB reader. Things like this just make me so sad. Read below...
There is an ongoing case of 2 young ladies (19 years and 24 years old) about to be locked up in Kirikiri because the older girl 'dared' to fight back when a self proclaimed rich woman assaulted her (pushed around and slapped her). The said rich woman - one Mummy Ada- locked both girls up at the Ogudu police Station overnight and have now taken them to court. They have put hand cuffs on the girls as if they are criminals when all they did was defend themselves. The girls (Chienyenwa and Obiajuru) are presently at a court in Ogudu now and they have been asked to pay N40k now else they will be taken to Kirikiri and locked up! Their father is running around now looking to raise this money.
This is so unfair and if the oppressed father was well to do, he would have been the one filing a suit against the woman for slapping his daughter around. I need you to help broadcast this please.
The DPO of Ogudu Police Station is Mrs Chioma Ajunwa (Olympic gold medalist) for Nigeria.
Will bring details about this story later. Once they sort out the girls' bail.

Emmanuel Adebayor's sister fires back, calls him liar, says the family is done with him

Three days ago, footballer Emmanuel Adebayor put his estranged family on blast by revealing how much he'd done for them and how ungrateful he felt they were (read here). He took to his Facebook page yesterday to share a pic of his brother Rotimi (pictured with him above) and said the part 2 of his brother's story will be revealed soon. That's when his sister Lucia Adebayor decided to respond. She called him a liar and said the family was done with him. What she wrote below...
"Keep on lying to the whole world brother. Where is the car you got for mum? You took it back. The house you claim you bought for sister are all lies. The phones Rotimi stole are all lies. Money is not everything oooo. We the family don’t even need you again just be on your own so we do the same. The fact you have it today doesn't guarantee your tomorrow. May God Allah forgive you. The Alphas and Mallams have done great harm to your life. You need God. Only God can save your soul." Lucia Adebayor wrote on her brother's post on Facebook
