This photo of actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, with money in his hand and surrounded by people and the police, caused many to insinuate he shared money as some kind of bribe to get voters to vote for him. He's contesting for Lagos House of Assembly today.
But Desmond has since taken to twitter to deny he was trying to bribe anyone. See what he wrote after the cut
Actor John Dumelo robbed, shares his experience and photo
Ghanaian actor John Dumelo was a a victim of a car robbery yesterday. According to him, thieves broke into his car in labone, Ghana, and made away with his traveling bags including his laptop bag which has his passports and unspecified amount of money and other important items. INEC postpones election in 8 constituencies in Bayelsa state
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has postponed tomorrow's elections in eight constituencies in Bayelsa state to next week Saturday, April 18th .
According to the states Resident Electoral Commissioner, Baritor Kpagih, the postponement was due to insufficient supply of sensitive and non sensitive materials from INEC headquarters in Abuja.

Breast cancer survivor Debbie Osarere reveals she's been diagnosed with bone cancer
So sad. You guys remember Debbie Osarere Idiagbonya? She battled breast cancer for years and we even raised money for her on LIB some years ago (read here) and I kept you guys up to date with her progress. Debbie beat breast cancer but was later diagnosed with liver cancer. While she was dealing with that, she was hit with another bad news. She now has bone cancer. The very lively Debbie took to instagram to break the news to those following her progress. Read what she wrote below..
Always smile and dance when you hear Bad news. My Medical Team (doctors) were trying to console me by saying first we have good news and bad news, which one do u want first? All I said was I’m used to good news but I take bad news for a chance so begin with bad.. So my oncologist said “I’m happy your chemotherapy is working for your liver but sorry the Cancer came back to your bones.
They said remember you had an aggressive metastatic breast cancer. Abeg save me all the medical terms I no sabi too much English I only sabi the name JESUS CHRIST. Trust me I smile I knew they were waiting for my reaction I used to cry whenever Cancer pops up in my labs but this time I danced to show them my bones will be alright and said God gat me, (More below)I’m in HIS laboratory I mean I’ve been fighting since Dec, 12 2011 HE will never leave me. I have survived breast cancer stage IV, I’m surviving Liver cancer so how much bones? I’ve survived it before n I will survive it again. One certain thing is my tests are always (we saw something yesterday but again today we didn’t see anything). I will keep fighting for Sheyanu Bashorun, Olajumoke Ajibade And Michael. They all lost battle to cancer. It never gets any easier but I won’t give up because my STORY is far from over.

First Lady Mrs Patience Jonathan has refuted claims by Governor Rotimi Amaechi that she is in Rivers state to strategize on how to use the Resident Electoral Commission and the security apparatus in the state to rig the governorship election in favor of Mr Nyesom Wike, the state PDP governorship candidate. The First Lady, who arrived Rivers state on Wednesday April 8th, has refuted allegations by Amaechi in a statement released by Director of Information in her office, Ihuoma Priscilla today April 10th. As an apostle of peace and non-violent elections, the First Lady distances herself from any alleged actions that could hinder successful elections in Nigeria, especially in her home state, Rivers State. She countered the insinuations that she was in her home town, Okrika for the purpose of the governorship election, pointing out that she registered in her husband, President Jonathan’s village, Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
