Northerners Created Boko Haram To Make Jonathan Unpopular – Ijaw Youths To Take Action Over Election Loss

Buhari-and-Jonathan

The Ijaw Youth Council has changed their stance after earlier commending President Goodluck Jonathan for accepting defeat at the poll and promising not to resort to attacking pipeline and oil infrastructure..They also pledged loyalty to the Buhari administration.

But now,the spokesperson for the group, Eric Omare, said the group was not satisfied with the turn out of the polls and will seek a new direction

“The IYC has resolved to call for a National Congress of all Ijaw Youths on Sunday, the 5th of April, 2015 at Tuomo Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State where all the Ijaw Youths of the Niger-Delta region would meet to review the outcome of the Presidential elections.

“IYC will take a position and determine the next direction of our struggle for self-determination and resource control as enshrined in the historic Kaiama Declaration.

“We call on all Ijaw Youths to be alert and ready to heed the call to the service of the Ijaw nation at this crucial time of our history and struggle for survival in the Nigerian state in the face of the grand conspiracy between the north and a section of the south west to continue to suppress and exploit the resource of the Ijaw nation.

“We recall that when President Jonathan, an Ijaw and from the South South won an internationally acclaimed free, fair and credible election in 2011, General Buhari and his people never at any time congratulated or supported President Jonathan.

“Instead they killed hundreds of innocent Nigerians and fought President Jonathan from the day he became the Acting President of Nigeria in 2010 until the north conspired with a section of the south west to take over the Presidency from President Jonathan and the minorities of the south-south in an election fraught with irregularities.

“It is also significant to note that none of the northern socio-cultural groups such as the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and others congratulated or supported the administration of President Jonathan.

“Northerners created Boko Haram and blamed it on President Jonathan deliberately to incite the northern populace against President Jonathan and make him unpopular in the 2015 election so as to take back power in a grand conspiracy with a section of the south west.

“Therefore, the April 5, 2015 meeting of all Ijaw youths would determine the position of the Ijaw Youths on the 2015 Presidential election and our next line of action,”

‘I Will Be Leaving Office As INEC Chairman In June – Prof. Jega

Attahiru-Jega

INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega says he will be leaving office in June this year when his tenure as Chairman of the electoral body ends. In an interview with BBC Hausa, Professor Jega said even if he is asked to continue in office, he would not.

“I am grateful to God. I was asked to come and contribute my own quota to the national development and I have done my bit to the best of my ability. Whatever assignment one will do for five years, just like this difficult one to me, if one is able to successfully accomplish the task, someone else should be given the opportunity. Because for me I am not interested & if I am requested to serve again, I will not do it, by God’s grace” he said.

Prof. Jega came into office in 2010 after the tenure of predecessor, Prof Maurice Iwu, expired.

CIA predicted Nigeria will break up after 2015 elections, it took GEJ to stop it - Doyin Okupe

Media aide to President Jonathan, Doyin Okupe says he never said anyone should call him a bastard if the APC won the elections and also said it took the humanness of president Jonathan to stop CIA's prediction that Nigeria will break up after the 2015 elections. What he posted on Facebook below...

Firstly I never said if APC survives "call me a bastard" what I said was that " I will change my name" that is the truth. So the prerogative of changing my name is mine. Bastard is not an alternative. But u can continue to say that if it gives u the kick. I really and truly don't care.

Secondly if I make a prediction it is my right to do so. A prediction is essentially what it is... A forecast or projected statement about the future. It does not have to come to pass.

The Almighty CIA predicted Nigeria will break up after 2015 elections. It took the Godliness and intrinsic humaneness of one man to stop that prediction.

Whatever it is you guys have won an election that was keenly contested yet you are not satisfied. 12m Nigerians voted for Jonathan while 15m for Buhari. This is nothing to be ashamed of.
