Former Speaker, Ghali Na'aba decamps from PDP to APC


Former Speaker of the House of Representative under President Obasanjo's government, Ghali Na'abba has decamped officially from PDP to APC. He officially resigned from PDP on March 15th.



Mr Na'ab arrived the APC National secretariat in Abuja this morning and was received by members of the party's National Working committee. The former speaker said he defected from the PDP after the party refused to change its undemocratic ways.





He says he is in the APC to help grow the momentum of change the party clamors for. "The momentum everywhere now is with the APC and that is why I decided to join the APC in order to help grow the momentum" he said

Chris Brown's 9 month old daughter, Royalty, visited him yesterday Monday 16th in the Houston leg of his tour. Royalty came with her mum, Nia Guzman and her half sister, Nia's other daughter. According to TMZ, they were picked up at a Houston hotel where they were staying and taken to Chris' tour bus, where he chilled with his kid. She's so beautiful!

Photos from the fatal accident on Ikorodu Road this morning


A fatal accident occurred this morning March 17th around 6:50am along General Hospital Road, Ikorodu. The disaster happened when a tanker carrying fuel lost control and ran into a popular cow market known as Odo-eran and burst into flames. GEJ, Jega, Security Chiefs in crucial meeting ahead of March 28th elections


President Jonathan is at the moment holding a crucial meeting at the Presidential villa with INEC Chairman Attahiru Jega and Security Chiefs over the forthcoming General elections.



Professor Jega is expected to brief President Jonathan and the Service Chiefs about his commission's preparedness for the upcoming elections. Those in attendance include Vice President Namadi Sambo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim; Chief of Staff to the President, Gen. Jones Arogbofa (retd.); National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki;

Attorney-General of the Federation, Muhammed Adoke (SAN); Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan; Minister of Interior, Mr. Aba Moro; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali. Others in attendance are Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh; Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu; Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba; as well as the heads of the Department of State Security and the National Intelligence Agency.

Pres. Jonathan visits Atiku at home, allegedly asks him to re-join PDP


President Jonathan reportedly paid an uannounced visit to former Vice President and APC Chieftain Atiku Abubakar at his home in Yola, Adamawa state on Friday March 13th. According to Sahara Reporters, among issues discussed was an alleged plan to make him, Atiku, head an interim government if Gen Buhari peradventure wins the Presidential election, a situation President Jonathan and some of his inner caucus members allegedly said they would never allow to happen.



Sahara Reporters also alleged that another issue discussed was for Atiku to rejoin the PDP. When media personality, Funmi Iyanda reached out to Atiku this morning, he confirmed GEJ visited him but denied they discussed him heading an interim government. See her tweets after the cut...
