For Ladies:5 Simple Home Remedies To Reduce Facial Hair Growth

5 Simple Home Remedies To Reduce Facial Hair Growth

Even though it is normal for women to sport some amount of facial fuzz, many find it annoying. Here are some tips to help you reduce facial hair…

1. Add 30 grams of sugar to some lemon juice in a bowl of water. Mix well and apply it in the direction of the hair growth. Leave this for 15 minutes and rinse. Repeat once a week.

2. The traditional mixture of gram flour, turmeric and curd is said to marginally reduce hair growth. Apply this mixture on your face and rinse it once it dries.

3. A mixture of papaya and turmeric helps contain hair growth, and what’s more, it also exfoliates the skin. Massage the paste on your face for 15 minutes for best results.

4. Potato, a bleaching agent, when mixed with yellow lentil paste makes the hair colour lighter and also helps remove unwanted facial hair. Apply and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing.

5. A banana-oatmeal scrub is simple, yet effective. Apply the paste for about 15 minutes and wash off with water. Repeat this twice a week.

Veteran musician Sound Sultan is one celebrity who keeps his private life out of the spotlight ..In a new interview with the Nation, he talks about staying married and proposing to the woman of his dreams

You’ve been married for a while now. What is the secret of your staying married despite being a popular celebrity?

Five years is not a while, compared to our parents’ upheld marriage and its values. For me, I am a very conservative person. And God bless their souls, my parents were very wonderful as a couple and as parents. When I wanted to get married, people were like you wan go marry; you go lose all your fans. People have a way of scaring, especially artistes, out of marriage but you will be surprised how many gangster rappers in America have wonderful families, as long as you can keep your marriage away from paparazzi, the better for the family. The more you want to make a star out of all of them, the more they start finding out about them. And nobody is perfect.

How did you propose to her?

The other day I was reading one wedding magazine, then I was ashamed to show my wife because the person proposed on a helicopter. He was flying and he said ‘will you marry me?’

Trust me, I can’t even remember how I proposed to my wife. We just saw that we got married. We courted like seven years before we eventually got married. So, she has known me ever since before marriage. I’ve known her for twelve years now. She’s like my friend, my everything. It just like you and your friend saying you want to do something, you don’t have to start kneeling down. If I kneel down, she go say wetin happen. She no go even believe say na proposal.

What was the attraction?

The attraction is because she’s a very natural person. Anybody that knows her knows that she’s very natural. And she’s a very respectful person. She’s just everything you want in a woman. She’s not my fan like that. She even likes Blackface and Bob Marley. But she’s a nice person. She helps me build my dreams and helps me to me good. She’s the type of person that really loves helping people. If you have a partner that helps you help people it a good thing.

Sugar Daddy Lured to his death by young lover in Ebonyi

These are certainly not the best of times for the Okorie family of Isiakpu village, Okposi Okwu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. As other families revel in the New Year festivities, the Okories are dressed in the robe of despair and sorrow. Indeed, the family has been enveloped by a thick pall of grief following the untimely demise of their father and breadwinner.

The Okories are not only crying because their father is dead, but also the manner in which death came. It was learnt that the man who was in his late 60s and father of four allegedly died in the loins of his girlfriend, Nneoma (surname withheld), a Banking and Finance student of the Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki.

According to Sun Okorie, who owned a block-making factory, was allegedly lured to the ‘nest of death’ near the Presco campus of the university by the lover girl who allegedly acted in concert with another boyfriend of hers, whose first name was given as Alex.

Investigation revealed that on the day Okorie died, he received a call from Nneoma, asking him to meet her in a five-storey hostel off Goddy Ogbaga Avenue in Abakaliki, the state capital. On getting there, it was learnt, they began to do those things that lovers do and her school boyfriend, Alex, appeared suddenly on the scene like a ghost. And the man died in the process.

Interestingly, the late Okorie, Nneoma and Alex hail from the same community.

A police source said:

“What happened was that the man was lured by a girl he has been assisting as a family friend and/or lover to somewhere in Abakaliki. Thinking that all was well, he went to honour the call. Unknown to him, the girl’s boyfriend had already made some arrangements to either threaten or intimidate and extort money from him. But in the process, while in the so-called boyfriend’s room, he died.

My Husband Is My Small god – Actress Toyin Aimakhu

Nollywood 1

It is only a submissive woman that can live long in her husband’s house and truly enjoy marital bliss. All those big eye young ladies of today should take a lesson from Actress Toyin Aimakhu who had to stop using her Blackberry phone because her husband say so. Her chat with Doyin Adeoye below:

Why are you so submissive to the extent that your husband changed your lifestyle for good, stopping you from using blackberry phones, among other things?

That is why he is my husband. And those that say things about me are those that don’t know me. He is my small god; I have to listen to him because I want to have a happy home. All my older siblings are happily married; everybody in my family is happily married. My eldest sibling is like 50 years old and is still happily married, so mine can’t be a different story.

My parents are still happily married; my father is 74 years old, my mother is 72, so who will I turn to with a broken home? I am submissive to him, because he is my husband. So if he is doing his responsibility, then I have to do mine too as a wife. A lot of people don’t know what a hubby and wife relationship means and that is why we have a lot of broken homes.

I am off BBM because he doesn’t like it and I am fine with it. Moreover, that is the only thing many people know, there are lot of things I had to give up because he doesn’t like it.

-when a lady is properly trained by her parent you don’t have to look too much to notice. Enough said!

The 41 year old man who killed his Austria-based lover, Rose Aifuwa, (pictured right) over unpaid debt (read story here) has opened up about how he killed the mother of four on Christmas Day. He denied owing the Austrian citizen and said her death was an accident.

He told Sunday Vanguard;

“I am 41 years old and a motor spare parts dealer. I did not kill her. It happened on the 25th of December very early in the morning. There is one boy that help me to pack my goods, the boy was with me. After I dropped my family, I now decided to go and drop the boy. On getting to Upper Mission junction, she called me and asked if I didn’t know that, that day was watch night, and that if I would come to see her. I said I was coming. Immediately I turned my car and drove down to her shop, she had a bar. On getting there I saw some boys there drinking. I called the sales girl there and told her to give everybody drink. The drink amounted to N1,800. Among the boys there one of them knew me, so bought me one bottle. So I told my lady friend that I needed to go and drop the boy with me as he was drunk. I promised her that I will come back.

That was how she allowed me go. “I drove off. We stopped somewhere to have a drink. I equally bought drink for people there. But somehow I decided that I will go home after dropping the boy, but immediately I passed Upper Mission junction, near her place, her call came in. So I told her I was coming and I decided to turn my car to her house. When I got to her place, I took a stick of cigarette from her and told her that I will need to go home early, that some body was in my car. But as I was leaving her door she blocked me. I told her that I guessed she was drunk because any time she was drunk, that was the way she behaved. But the next thing I noticed was a slap, I retaliated. Before that I observed that some body was sleeping somewhere in her room, where I went to collect the cigarette. So I went outside but the boy sleeping there woke up and told me not to leave the house. She went to wake up another person and was telling the person something inside. So the guy came out and said I should not leave the compound. The boy started making calls, so I quickly entered my car and locked the car. I saw her rush towards me but I had pinned the doors already. But she blocked my car and I saw two of the boys trying to drag her out of my way. Then I zoomed off, but I was now asking my boy after we left the compound if I hit anybody. The boy said no, that God forbid. But I was not comfortable because I was really drunk”.

After I checked my car very well, I did not notice anything. I went to my friend’s place to inform him of my fear. I now called some body to go to my lady’s house to find out whether I hit some body. The boy went and told me that there was nothing like that. So I became confused. I called my younger brother to help me investigate if she was okay. He called me later to say that he heard she was in hospital and that they had deposited money. He later called me to say that they saw a body at Upper Mission junction and that it was the lady. I called my friends and they said I should go to the police station to report myself.

“I can’t sleep, I can’t eat. This is somebody we did everything together and I loved her. I did not beat her, I don’t know what happened. After the incident, some youths went to my house to burn it down, all my people left the house. My sisters can no longer open their shops because they are scared. I am not owing her. The only goods she brought to me was in February, that was when we met. She brought them from Austria. I am not owing her a dime and we didn’t have any problem. I even bought her a bag of rice for Christmas. I did not kill before, I am devastated”.
