There is a lot of things we love about Nollywood. However, there are also some moments that can really annoy anyone who has ever watched a Nollywood movie.

1. The same old music and sound effects

2. Subtitles

There are a lot of funny examples of failing subtitles. It is hard to find a nice Yoruba movie without them.

3. Witchcraft

It is hard to imagine a good Nollywood movie without some occultism and magic.

4. Extremely annoying romance

Usually it is captured in a very strange way. Romantic things in a movie happen everywhere and are so unrealistic that you would like to never fall in love after seeing them. Some dates are captured in a really weird way as well.

5. Poison

Nobody writes ‘Poison’ on chemistry bottles with big letters. It is better stop inscribing it. Viewers can think. If a character drinks its content and then he writhes in pain, they can get that he drank some poisoned stuff.

6. Shooting and fights

In action scenes, blood does not gush from a person who was shot or stabbed with a knife. The fighting scenes often look ridiculous.

7. Facial expressions

The majority of facial expressions are unnatural. Even when we are supposed to sympathize the character, it looks funny.

But, despite all these things, we still love our Nollywood industry and the gifted celebrities!

Jordin Sparks diss ex Jason Derulo in new song, How Bout Now

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo broke up in September after dating for almost three years and even though they say it was an amicable split, Jordin still seems bitter about it. She released a new song yesterday titled How Bout Now, where she kinda dissed Jason. In the track, she sings;

"Remember when you broke your neck and I had to wash your back for you?" (Jason broke his neck during dance practice in 2012)

"You thought you had it all figured out back then, boy how bout now? 'Cuz I'm up right now, and you suck right now"

"Always been mom's little angel / but once you blew up head got big and you started changing / Can't believe all the things you started saying / Like I'm with you for your fame and your name, what?"

Halle Berry accuses Gabriel Aubry of trying to turn their daughter white

Halle Berry took her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry to court, claiming he's trying to make their 6yr old daughter white. In court documents, Halle said Aubry was straightening and lightening Nahla's naturally-curly hair in an effort to make her appear less Black.



According to TMZ , a judge has ordered Gabriel to stop what he's doing with Nahla's hair. He ruled that neither Halle nor Gabriel could change Nahla's look from its natural state moving forward. The judge is allowing Nahla's hair to grow back naturally.
